Blackberry’s Research In Motion Ltd. Is planning tablet PC to compete with Apple’s iPad and it will be introduced in November. RIM is calling this tablet PC Blackpad and booked the domain named blackpad.com. The price of the Blackpad starts at $ 499. RIM’s tablet will capitalize on the BlackBerry’s e-mail capabilities and the phone’s popularity with corporate users. Wi-Fi would allow the device to connect to the Internet anywhere. The RIM tablet will also have front- and back-facing cameras for videoconferencing.
HP, LG and Microsoft have already planned for the tablet market.
